Scripts?
During the filming process of City Day I engaged in a constant battle with myself on how to approach the issue of dialogue. I've never been a person of writing out scripts mostly because you can't expect someone to act well when pretending to be someone else. So on the second night of filming in which most of the dialogue occurred I told Alberto and Ramiro to wing it and if not I would provide the dialogue. This actually ended up working perfectly because of the chemistry between the two actors. Much like Joaquin and Rob, Ramiro and Alberto have both been best friends ever since fourth grade with personalities that completely clash with each other. Ramiro tends to be very reserved and keep to himself while Alberto always wants to be doing something due to his highly energetic nature. Filming!!
The time i’ve been waiting for has finally come, we are going to start filming in the next week now that i’ve worked out scheduling with everyone. The most filming we are going to get done is probably on Wednesday, March 21st since that’s when everyone has free time and no conflicts. My goal is to have majority of the filming done by next Saturday so that I can work on editing during Spring Break. Over Spring Break I am going to be taking a trip to New York to visit my family. I will be bringing my laptop in order to work on editing whatever is recorded at that point. I’ve looked at several different options for the editing of my film but I’ve decided to use Wondershare Filmora because of its simple yet effective nature of editing. I will provide a link to the softwares page on how it works at the bottom in case you are interested.
